Bourette silk retains silk's thermoregulating, breathable, and hypoallergenic properties; therefore, the yarn can be used in all seasons, even for sensitive skin.

Bourette yarn is obtained from the short fibers found on the periphery of the cocoon. These fibers, spun using a process similar to cotton, create a matte, lightly textured yarn that adds relief to garter stitch, rib stitch, or brioche stitch.
Bourette silk is not as shiny as regular mulberry silk, but it retains all the same good properties.

The more affordable price makes 100% silk yarn more accessible for everyday projects: yarn for cardigans, T-shirts, children's clothes, scarves, hats.

Hand wash in cool water. Iron at medium temperature. Do not tumble dry, do not bleach. May be dry cleaned with ingredient P.
