  A cutting mat is the perfect tool for working with patchwork. The mat is very useful when cutting with a rotary cutter. The surface of the mat is flexible enough to protect the rotating blade.

The pallet must not be bent or rolled. The pallet must be protected from heat and direct sunlight. The blade must be held perpendicular to the pallet when cutting.
