Jacquard dye for yarn and fabrics. Jacquard acid dye can be used to dye wool and other animal fibers, such as feathers and silk, as well as nylon.
This product is perfect for dyeing, for example, skeins of wool yarn, as it provides a completely clear, colorfast result.
PLANT FIBERS CANNOT BE DYED.
Cotton, linen, hemp, viscose, bamboo fabric and lyocell are practically
not dyed by acid dyes because they do not form the same chemical bond with the dye. They require a different type of dye,
such as reactive (Procion-type) or all-purpose dyes.
This dye consists of only two ingredients: highly concentrated powdered dye and inert salt. It can be easily mixed with water. To make the dye adhere well to the fibers and ensure colorfastness, acid dye requires an acidic environment. Therefore, citric acid or vinegar must be added during the dyeing process.
Jacquard acid dye penetrates fibers well. There is no need to worry about the color fading or bleeding during washing. It can also be used for direct dyeing or printing by selecting the steam setting on an iron.
