Jacquard dye for yarn and fabrics. Jacquard acid dye can be used to dye wool and other animal fibers, such as feathers and silk, as well as nylon.
This product is ideal if you want to dye, for example, skeins of wool yarn, as it provides a perfectly clear, colorfast result.
PLANT FIBERS CANNOT BE DYED.
Cotton, linen, hemp, viscose, bamboo fabric, and lyocell are practically
not dyed by acid dyes, as they do not form the same chemical bond with the dye. They need a different type of dye,
such as reactive (Procion-type) or all-purpose dyes.
This dye consists of only two ingredients: highly concentrated powdered dye and an inert salt. It can easily be mixed with water. For the dye to adhere well to the fibers and ensure colorfastness, acid dye requires an acidic environment. Therefore, citric acid or vinegar must be added during the dyeing process.
Jacquard acid dye penetrates the fibers well. You don't have to worry about the color fading or running during washing. It can also be used for direct dyeing or printing by selecting the steam setting on your iron.
